Floyd Lewis has been a columnist for Softball West Magazine for the past five years. Floyd has plenty of experience in softball. He was ASA Junior Olympic Commissioner, Metro Sacramento for eight years. He was eight years as the Pacific Coast Region Junior Olympic Commissioner. Floyd has served as ASA Junior Olympic Commissioner for Southern California and has been a voting member of the ASA National Council for the past eight years. Floyd has been the tournament director for three ASA Youth National Championship tournaments. He has also spent the last three years on the board of directors for local recreational youth leagues. He has been a registered ASA umpire for five years and a registered CIF umpire for the past year. He is currently Adult Softball Commissioner for Southern California ASA.
Floyd's other journalism experience includes one year as columnist for Softball World Magazine, 10 years as editor and writer for JO News Update, Pacific Coast Region Junior Olympic monthly newsletter and 12 years freelance writing for various local, regional and national publications.
