HAYWARD, CA – Oliver Sports Complex was the site of the May 17-18 Northern California Senior Softball Tournament. Play was divided into seven divisions with 41 teams participating.
In Division A the MTC 55 squad captured first place with a perfect 5-0 record. Finishing right behind them was the MTC 50’s with a 4-1 record.
The Old Dawgs and Hayden Interiors/ODB 50 teams had identical 4-1 records in their six team division but Hayden took first by virtue of scoring more runs.
Division C was competitive with the Nor Cal Merchants taking first place with a 4-1 record. Both the Calif Starzz and Nor Cal Stixx had 3-2 records but the Stixx team took second. The Turlock Legends/Shirt World, Stockton 50 and Calif Blue Jays teams all had 2-3 records in the six team division.
First place of Division D went to the Bay Area Blasters with a 3-1 record. The Phoenix 50 was second also finishing at 3-1.
The S.F.Seals defeated the Solano Enforcers 13-12 and that gave the Seals one more win to take Division E with a 4-1 record. The Enforcers were second at 3-2.
The Brannon Tire Ravens were 4-1 in Division F for the weekend. In second place were the 3-2 R.W.C. Cardinals.
The RWC Chiefs 75 received five runs from all teams in the second through sixth innings of each game and this was enough to propel them to first place in Division G with a 4-1 record. Also with a 4-1 record but finishing in second place were the Chiefs 70’s R.W.C.
