PHOENIX, AZ - Senior Softball USA and Arizona’s Tournament Sports held the Gold Glove Classic SSWC Qualifier at Desert West and Rose Mofford Sports Complexes on Feb. 24 and 25. Thirty teams competed in six divisions in typical Arizona winter weather (sunny, around 60° to 70°).

First place in the Men’s 50 Major Division went to NCI, with Grimes Trucking taking second and Night Hawks in third.
Evolution took top honors in the Men’s 55 Major Division followed by Class Act in second and AZ MOB in third place.
AZ 55’s earned the championship in the Men’s 55 Division, finishing with a perfect record of 5-0. Second place went to Palm Springs Heat and Stark St. Pizza placed third.

The Men’s 50+ Division champions were Double Play with second place going to El Paso Drillers and KC Barons taking third.

Sonny E Beaches came in first in Men’s 50 AA Blue, Pasta House took second and Glory Daze followed up in third.
Men’s 50 AA Red champs were the Chicano Cubs, second place went to OTD and Just For Fun held on to third.
The 2007 Senior Softball World Championships will take place at seven different sports complexes in Phoenix in late October.
